My mommy is the best in the world. I don’t think I could pick just one thing my mom has impacted my life with. The one thing that really did though was her ability to just push through everything and stay pretty calm. I think having four siblings is a lot but she’s raised all five of us to be strong and loving adults and kids. She’s always ready to take care of us in anyway and loves us no matter what we do. Her unconditional love is something I can’t wait to show to my own children. I remember growing up thinking that I never wanted to raise my kids like my mom. But now I can’t imagine raising my kids any other way than how I was raised. I am so proud of my mom and I know that she’s proud of me!

You are the first person that I thought about when I was thinking about people that have impacted my life. I have always looked up to you- from you sharing your life stories with us to your sense of humor that just keeps everyone laughing. The moment that really impacted me was last summer in Ensenada when I really didn’t know what my role on the trip was. You gave me so much responsibility on the team and I was proud of myself for how I stepped up for the challenge. The belief you had in me to keep our team working as one and the trust you had in me when I was basically put in charge of the whole roof. It made me feel like I could finally be the leader I wanted to be and I could show you and all the other leaders what kind of Godly woman each of you had, in some way, molded me into. The impact you had on me has been lasting because I trust myself with hard challenges instead of shrinking away and I have become more confident in my leadership roles. Dan, you rock! I love you and I thank God for your role in my life.
I read about an idea to write a letter each day of Lent to a person that has impacted my life in some way. So each day I will post a letter to someone that has impacted my life in anyway.
I haven’t decided what I am going to fast from, if anything. I only have a few more hours to think about it!
